Epilators Reviews - Learn How To Compare Epilators

!±8± Epilators Reviews - Learn How To Compare Epilators

There are many epilators designed especially for women in the marketplace. Besides checking the prices of different women epilators, it is equally important to compare epilators based on product features and match it against your personal comfort and preference. Some of the major brands that produce epilators for women include Braun, Emjoi, Epilady, Panasonic and Philips.

Broadly speaking, there are 3 types of epilators. The first type is the cordless epilator. These epilators are battery-operated and use only alkaline batteries for its power source. They are very portable and ideal for travelling. The second type is the electric epilator. These electrically operated epilators are corded and come with an AC adaptor. Generally, they are great for use at home and the best benefit is that you do not have to worry about replacing a battery. The third type is rechargeable epilator. These are devices that give you the freedom to choose between AC adaptor and rechargeable, cordless convenience based on your desired comfort level.

Epilator can also be classified by the epilating head type.  The 2 commonly used designs in epilators are rotating tweezing barrel and rotating disc.

For rotary tweezer type, the device head consists of a series of small tweezers mounted on a revolving drum that grab a hair, pull it and extract it by the roots. For example, the Braun Silk-Epil Xelle Body System Epilator offers as many as 40 uniquely positioned tweezers for long lasting smooth skin. For rotating disc type, several metal discs rotate in opposing directions to grasp and pluck out the hair at the root. I would think that if you are looking to cover a larger area in less time, then a disc-operated type of epilator would make your epilation faster and more efficient hair removal. At full speed, the Epilady Legend epilator, with its 40 tweezer discs, creates 32,000 tweezes per minute!

Whether it is corded, rechargeable or battery-operated, most epilators for women comes with multiple speed control which allows you to customize each hair removal experience. Even though using an epilator to remove unwanted hair does not destroy the follicle nor prevent regrowth, many women still choose to use such devices because of the longer periods between hair removal.

To get an even better idea of the performance of the various epilator for women, you can also read some of the epilators reviews found online and conduct a personal epilator comparison based on users' experiences.
